Desire

Each of us have our own story. Everyone has their own fantasy. Some of us want to be writers, computer gods, film students, actresses, President of the United States, rock stars or wealthy land owners. We all have our own dreams and fantasies. Everyone at one time or another had thrown that penny into a fountain and made their wish.



"Ya see this one? This one was my wish! My dream! And I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back."

Not in the physical sense because I obvious can't go to every fountain I've ever been to and grab a handful of coins from the bottom.....But it would make a good documentary.....

Wishes and fantasies are basically what keeps us going ever day. What would happen if you actually got what you were after?? What then? You've worked for it, and now you have it, so what do you do with it? You get another dream, another fantasy, more desire. You just keep going on and on, never truly being fulfilled, because there's always something else out there on the horizon, something new, something better.

I watched "The Life of David Gale" today. Kevin Spacey has a rant about this in the movie and that's what inspired this post. And I just threw the obvious Goonies reference in there because I've been wanting to watch the movie again lately.
