I just thought I'd pass a little incite on to all my loyal readers

"Death, the eternal blink, the captricious dance of now you stop moving forever. Well contrary to popular belief, death isn't just for dead people. It can happen to everyone.....I know, was news to me to. And it's not just people either, It's all kinds of stuff, horses, fiddler crabs...Did you know that even a potato.......can die? Crazy isn't it?"

ok. what's up? I've been doing some soul searching. I've deciding that the human soul doesn't exist, well that or i just have the balls to find it. But I do have balls dammit!!! ok, i went to the homecoming game last night. but of course, everyone that reads this should've known that, but i digress. it was alright, stc lost of course. lindsey left early because she can't sit to long for anything, but i've come to understand that about it. it was fun though!

Ok, I'm learning, no I'm not learning, I know I'm smarter than most people, in a "I work in a media store and know way more and have dealt with way more different kinds of people than you" kind of way. Today I had to deal with a woman that really pissed me off. Ok, I've been taken off the sales floor for now because I am finally getting more responsiblity with my supervisor position. So, I was at the books desk minding my business looking up a book for a display when this woman comes up to the desk asking for an author I've never heard of before. I looked it up and found out we don't carry any books by that author but we can order them. Then the woman's like, "I wrote that book" , "why don't you carry it? Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.com carry it!" (I really had to resist the urge to say "Does it look like you're in Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com you stupid bitch??). I didn't want to get into it with her, so I asked her if there were any other authors I could look up for her. She had me look up another author we don't normally carry, but could once again special order it. Then the woman as all, "why don't you carry any black authors??". Ok, this is where I could've gotten really pissed off and went off on the lady because I was not gonna get into this "race card" kind of situation. And if I walked into a store looked up 2 obscure "white" authors, that they don't carry, do I have the right to ask, "why don't you carry any white authors??" No!!!!! Do you know why?? Because books aren't black and white!!!!!! I can't tell a black authors name from a white authors name!!!!! They don't put their pictures on the front of the book saying "hey I'm black read me!!!" or "hey I'm white trash read me!" no, authors don't do that, because most believe it's about the work, not the color of their skin. Some books and catered to certain cultures, but ya know what?? we can order those books, as in "get them in a sell them to you at no extra cost!!!" FUCKING RERES!!!! And this lady didn't want to talk to a manager about her problem, she wanted to talk to *gasp* UPPER MANAGEMENT!!!! so I proceeded to give her the district office # so that she can complain that we don't normally carry her one book that she wrote. As if it would sell anyway seeing as this was the first time I've ever heard of the dumb bitch, meaning......no one's ever asked for her book. Ok, now let me clear up that I'm in no way a racist, I believe in equal rights and everything, but when this first thing a person does is play the race card, it pisses me off. All the hard work done by so many people and she just goes straight to that card, and doesn't just ask, "why don't you carry my book?" she generalizes her problem as "why don't you carry black authors??" It just really pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And on that note. My bird Cookie died today.... :'-(

*Moment of silence*

I'll miss that little chatterbox, but he did out live most parakeets....we had a nice little run buddy.....and yes lindsey, there is now a parakeet cage available if ya want it because we're not getting another bird....

Ok, I'm gonna close this on a happy note. This Monday is a huge day for music. Monday night to be exact. The most influencial albums of the year will be released monday night. The first one being the new Outcast cd!!! I don't can who you are, what you're into, this will be an album to get. I've heard it. I like it. It's to solo projects put into one album, and it kicks ass!!! The other albums coming out are Dave Matthews first solo project, which if ya know me, ya know I'm gonna say it's gonna kick ass, and the other being LimpBizkit. Ok, I know how everybody feels about them and Fred Durst, fuck your thoughts of the band, just listen to the music, that's all I ask. And last but not least, Obie Trice is comin out. Ok I've been looking forward to this cd since I heard his stuff of the Aftermath/Shady Records cd sampler. This is gonna be the biggest cd of the week. That's the way rap music is, most artist can only last a week, but he does have eminem behind so he might have so longevity, we'll see how he can stand up.

Well, I've written too much.........

Ok, I just watched my copy of High Fidelity again and I've come up with a top 5 list, so here it goes:

Top 5 Songs That Can Envoke My Emotions Like No Other

5. "Cry Me A River" By Justin Timberlake
4. "Screaming Infidelities" By Dashboard Confessional
3. "Crush" By Dave Matthews Band
2. "Kissing You (Love theme from Romeo And Juliet)" By Desree
1. "Goodbye To You" By Michelle Branch

I really had to put a lot of thought into this list because I didn't quite know what I was going for when making it, and I at first had the #1 song at #5, but the more I thought about it the more it grew on me, and it really fits what I've gone/am going through. It's though, even as I listen to that song right now, I can't help but feel it. All the same emotions talked about in that song sadly fit perfectly, because that song is kind of a downer, but hey, times change, people change, but history is forever. And I'll always have that time somewhere in the back of my mind. And whenever I hear that song I'll think of it. And probably tear up as I am now. Same with song #2. I could listen to day both songs day in and day out because they're both beautiful songs. Song #3 has a different purpose though. I could have easily placed a different DMB song in there that could've also reminded me about that time in my life, but I decided not to. This song reminds me of a time after. A very brief time after. But all things songs have one thing in common. They all get me thinking about one thing, but that's a different story.
Wellll, It's been a long weekend. I went to the game on Friday night and hung out with Katie, that was fun. Then katie and I went to a party at Jeff's house, that was interesting to say the least. Then came Saturday, I went with Lindsey to see a play that used the same damn jokes over and over again, don't get me wrong, the jokes were funny, the first 10 times. But it was an alright show. I don't know about the rest of everything that's going on in my life, things that should be complicated aren't, and simple things like my feelings are very complicated right now, I don't know, I'm sure everything will turn out for the best eventually.
